Hiking in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia is spectacular. With
large uncrowded mountains, heavily forested valleys and glaciated
alpines, the hiking is magnificent. From November until July, snow
is plentiful and ski-touring conditions are perfect. We offer custom
heli-drops into different locations throughout the area.
All of the following guided hikes are led by locally owned and
operated Coast Mountain Guides. Their expertise in mountain safety and local
knowledge will ensure the day is successful and enjoyable. All guides are trained as professionals and
members of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides.
The guided heli-hiking trips below all include water, healthy lunch, guide(s) to
escort guests from hotel throughout trip based on departure location,
group size and demographics, all glacier/hiking equipment (boots, day
packs ice axe, crampons, harness), first aid and CPR certified guides,
plus first aid kit on all tours, radio and/or cell phone communication
on all lead guides. 1:4 guide to guest ratio, 1 CD with photos taken by
guide, ground transportation from Whistler or Vancouver and back.

Echo Lake (Rating: Moderate to Challenging)
Echo Lake is a classic example of an old hanging glacial valley. We suppose that once upon a time there was a small glacier hanging above the lake that was connected to the main Squamish glacial flow. The area offer great ridge hiking on moderate to challenging terrain with spectacular views of Howe Sound.

Sky Pilot is a good display of how mountains were carved by recent glaciations. The area offer generous and wide ridge lines with peaks towering above and beautiful alpine tarns (lakes) and meadows.

Blanca Lakes (Rating: Moderate to Challenging)
The
Blanca Lakes are hidden gems of landscapes. The Lakes are often frozen
till late June and are crystal clear once the ice is melted. The area
boost impressive granite features that is unique to our coastal region.

Exodus Expedition (Pemberton Ice Cap to Blanca Lakes)
The
Pemberton Ice Cap is one of largest and most southern located ice cap
in North America. It is believed that the ice is up to 1.5 kilometer
thick in some places. It is the source of many creeks, rivers and lakes
in the area. The shear size and vast open space is truly amazing.

Princess Louisa Rating: Moderate to Challenging
Princess Louisa is famous for its spectacular waterfalls and fjords that rise high above the inlet. The alpine area above the inlet is princess worthy with lakes surrounded by granite walks and obvious signs of glacial erosion.
